The triangular island of Derrin sit in the northern Rolling Sea. It’s remains fairly isolated due to it’s distance and the rough seas which surround it. It has several safe port which can accommodate sea vessels. The island has two smaller notable islands; Omey, a volcanic island off the northwest coat, and Inishowen, a dense sliver of swamp to the southwest.
Derrin has a generally triangular shape centered around the Blackstairs mountains. The island largely divides between the gentle green southern plains and the northern forests. A great deep volcanic lake known as Derg high in the peaks of the Blackstairs feeds three small rivers flowing out to sea.
